“CUMMIN ROUND THE MOUNTAIN TOUR”

Hi, isn’t it funny how the hardest thing to find is “5 minutes”?
Since our return from the TT gigs in June, it was ever only going to take 5 minutes to update our website!!!!
Well, the TT for us was a year long in planning, but none of us were prepared for just how awesome the whole thing was to be. Mad Sunday – they certainly named that one correctly. The first gig at the Sulby was, to be honest, a slow starter, but as the night progressed the crowds grew and so did their enthusiasm for us, and having a good time.

The next day, Mad Sunday at Bushy’s beer tent – Unbelievable, 4000-plus people in and around Bushy’s. We were trapped on stage at half time because the crowd was so tightly packed in the tent, we couldn’t get off to go to the proverbial little boys room!! Loaded playing to an energetic ‘mosh pit’ was a new experience, and one that we want more of please (with the exception of the guy throwing up all over Mark’s monitor!!!). Jason even managed an impromptu ‘Freddie Mercury’ sing-along with the crowd – how cool was that? We finished the evening totally shattered but with grins the size of Douglas harbour. We received some fantastic plaudits from the crowd and made some, hopefully, good contacts with agents.

The next day, Monday morning, something had been happening!!! The local grapevine was buzzing about our gig because the mobile phones were going non-stop for a while. All these calls were from other venues and clubs on the Island who wanted us to fit a gig in – just for them. Bushy’s – who we must thank for their friendliness and hospitality, have already guaranteed us 2 nights there for 2004.

The second gig at the Sulby was a cracker. A fantastic group of lads from Yorkshire were quick on the banter with us, and a group of peeps from neighboring Suffolk turned up to support us – brilliant

The last night we played was back at Bushy’s, and for all of us, the final hour of the set must rank as one of the most exciting ever. The crowd went mental – and we had 3 encores – even though it meant over running the midnight curfew. We could write pages and pages about the ‘Cummin’ Round the Mountain ‘ tour, but the best thing is really to flick through the pics link and catch some stills Mark has prepared from camcorder footage – those pictures will tell it better than we can here.

The feeling amongst Loaded at the moment is that we will be at the TT again next year – so if you’ve never been – go – book now – and make sure to say hello! It’s important to mention that the Isle of Man is a great holiday place at any time. We all loved it, especially as we had a big house all to ourselves over on the west coast. It was nice to welcome a family of good friends who came to give us extra support – and lug the gear for us!!!! We would like to think that bikers who saw us on the Isle of Man will spread the word. We have placed an advert in Back Street Heroes magazine with a view to doing more and more biker rallies. The ones we have done in England have been great, and the TT has left us wanting more of the same. So if you read this, and know of rally organizers, put a word in for us – pleeeeaaasse.

Since our return, its back to reality, and the usual round of gigs, but we all feel that we have reached a new level of confidence since the TT, and are sure that it is reflected in our performance. We will not, however, rest on our laurels, there is always something to work on…. and we have been. Rehearsing hard – both on new material and a revitalized enthusiasm for writing our own material. We now have one practice a week purely for that. Thanks to all of you who log on to this site – feel free to contact us – we will reply.
Be happy. Be safe. Keep rockin’.
